From bases in Muzaffar- pur and Hajipur in the eastern state of Bihar, as well as Ludhiana in the north- ern state of Punjab, Basco Tool Indus- tries serves its customers at their lo- cations. Apart from circular saws and tools, the company also offers services, from resharpening and tool repairs to technical consultation. The companies from the wood and metal industries are supported with training in order to help them design efficient and profitable production processes for furniture, win- dows or doors, with technologies from Basco Tool Industries. “The growing number of customers means we will be expanding to more regional distribution and service cen- tres,” says Vikas Tiwari. “We're al- ready seeing an increasing demand for our products and services in the south and west of India. We'd like to soon be the largest Indian manufacturer of carbide-tipped circular saws and carry the flame of 'Make in India' to every corner of our country.” VOLLMER IN ACTION! The Indian company Basco Tool Industries produces its carbide-tipped circular saws with a total of seven VOLLMER sharpening machines. The first one arrived in Faridabad in 2003 – an FS2A grinding machine. Now two CP 200 sharpening machines and a CHP 840 sharpening machine can be found in the production halls of the tool man- ufacturer. With the CHP line of VOLLMER machines, carbide-tipped circular saws can be sharpened without having to be clamped in more than once position. The four CNC-controlled axes allow complete machining of all common tooth geometries in just one cycle – even when sawing with an axial angle and group toothing. The VOLLMER CP 200 machine has multiprocessor technology and integrated software programs. Whether it's tooth faces or tooth tops, the grinding speed can be freely selected and there's no need to set tooth pitch or blade thickness. Sharpening machines and be- yond, the Basco Tool Industries service technicians receive an average of around 80 hours' training from VOLLMER in Biberach per colleague each year.
