Vollmer celebrates centenary with limited edition
”The limited edition consists of seven of our most successful models, equipped with extra features and on offer at a special anniversary price“, says Dr.-Ing. Stefan Brand, Managing Director of Vollmer Werke Maschinenfabrik GmbH. “This promotion is part of our programme to celebrate the company’s centenary year.“
Vollmer’s foundations were laid back in 1909 by Heinrich Vollmer, with the invention of the first setting machine “Ideal“. To date, Vollmer has developed over 400 sharpening and eroding machines for tool production and servicing of every kind of saw blade. Now it has singled out seven of the most popular machines for the metal and wood working industry for decoration with the centenary logo, and is offering them as a special limited edition. The selected machines are as follows:
QM eco: This disk erosion machine has five CNC-controlled axes and two manual axes. It is suitable for automatic measuring and erosion of tools with cutting edges made of PCD and other hard materials using unsupported clamping.
CHD 270: This sharpening machine has eight CNC-controlled axes and measuring devices. It is designed for automatic face and top machining of carbide-tipped circular saw blades with different diameters and tooth geometries. The CHD 270 is also available as a service centre with a link to an ND robot system.
CHC eco: This sharpening machine with automatic bevel grinding control is suitable for face and top machining of carbide-tipped circular saw blades with different diameters and tooth geometries.
CL 200: This CNC-controlled sharpening machine is designed for all-in-one machining of carbide-tipped circular saw blades within the diameter range of 80 to 840 millimetres. It allows economic and precise machining of the rake face, flank face and blade body on a single setting.
RC 100: This benching centre for fully automatic, all-in-one processing of band saw blades is used for measuring, levelling, tensioning and straightening on a single setting.
CBF 300: This sharpening machine is suitable for machining the tooth flanks of stellite-tipped band, gang and circular saw blades. It is a robust, sturdy machine which produces excellent results despite its simple operation.
GA 250: This sharpening unit machines gang saw blades with grinding lengths of up to 1500 millimetres quickly and precisely. The automatic dressing device for the corundum grinding wheel allows accurate profile grinding.
The limited edition is only one of the ways Vollmer has chosen to express its thanks to its customers and partners: as well as a special exhibition at Biberach’s municipal museum and an Open Day at the Biberach headquarters, Vollmer will also be celebrating its 100th anniversary with stalls at a range of trade fairs.
