Vollmer, spécialiste en machines d'affûtage et d'érosion destinées à la production et à l'entretien d'outils, a ouvert une nouvelle filiale à Bangalore. Avec Vollmer India, l'entreprise technologique et prestataire de services souabe consolide sa positon sur le marché international et renforce sa présence auprès des économies asiatiques en plein essor. « Avec la création de Vollmer India, nous disposons à présent de plus de onze filiales dans le monde entier et consolidons notre position de leader sur le marché asiatique des machines d'affûtage et d'érosion », déclare Jürgen Hauger, directeur des ventes du groupe Vollmer. « Le produit intérieur brut indien affiche actuellement une croissance annuelle de cinq à six pour cent. Ce pays est pour nous un marché d'avenir important pour ce qui est des fabricants d'outils internationaux. »

Les clients indiens de Vollmer viennent en premier lieu de l'industrie de transformation des métaux – donc de la construction automobile, du domaine aéronautique et spatial ainsi que du secteur sidérurgique. Aujourd'hui, un grand nombre d'entreprises de fabrication et de fournisseurs leaders à l'échelle mondiale sont représentés en Inde et couvrent leurs besoins en machines de haute technologie sur place. Mais la liste de clients indienne de Vollmer comprend aussi des entreprises de transformation du bois ainsi que de petites sociétés d'affûtage.

Vollmer a choisi Bangalore comme site d'implantation parce que cette ville est devenue l'une des régions industrielles les plus importantes en Inde. Bangalore dispose en outre d'excellentes liaisons internationales et d'une infrastructure qui ne cesse de se développer.

Ligna 2013: diamond cuts wood?

Diamonds are at the centre of Vollmer's stand at this year's Ligna trade fair: PCD (polycrystalline diamond) tools are becoming increasingly important in the furniture and timber industry for machining wood and composite materials. The grinding and erosion machine specialist will be exhibiting at Stand A50 in Hall 13. Together with its subsidiary Loroch, the company will be presenting equipment for sharpening carbide-tipped circular and band saws, together with a range of sawmill technology. Vollmer training, maintenance, servicing and finance services round off the portfolio presented. At the Ligna 2013 international forestry and timber trade fair from 6 to 10 May in Hanover, Vollmer will, for the first time, be bringing together all its expertise at one stand - A50 in Hall 13. The redesigned stand of c. 500 m² will present Vollmer's latest portfolio in its four key segments: PCD rotary tools, circular saws, band saws and services. The open and transparent stand concept will guide visitors through each of the Vollmer business units. A number of video installations will explain the company's technology and service portfolio using a wide range of examples.

This will offer visitors detailed insight into the current Vollmer range of grinding and erosion machines for sawmills, the furniture industry, and the timber and woodworking sector. The focus of the stand will be the precise sharpening of PCD machining tools for manufacturing processes in the timber industry. Diamond-tipped tools are extremely durable and enable the precise machining of wood and composite materials. With the latest innovations from Vollmer, PCD cutters can now be measured, ground and polished completely automatically in one single process. Vollmer erosion machines have CNC-controlled axes and integrated software control for the production of PCD tools. This enables the manufacture of large runs of milling and cutting tools in consistent quality, in an unmanned and fully automatic process.

Vollmer will also be exhibiting its sharpening machines for carbide-tipped circular saw blades with a range of diameters and tooth geometries. The Swabian market leader will be showing customers from the sawmill sector all process phases in band saw machining: sharpening, stellite tipping, tensioning, straightening and planing. Vollmer subsidiary Loroch from Mörlenbach will be rounding off the Ligna stand with the automatic saw sharpening machine solution K850, which can sharpen, re-tooth and automatically chamfer HSS/CV circular saw blades thanks to four CNC-controlled axes.

Vollmer est maintenant présent sur Internet en chinois, japonais et espagnol faisant ainsi progresser systématiquement l'internationalisation de l'entreprise. D'autres langues comme le russe ou le polonais suivront sous peu. «La traduction de notre site Internet en espagnol, japonais et chinois reflète l'importance grandissante que revêtent des nations économiques en plein essor en Asie et en Amérique du Sud », affirme Stefan Brand, directeur du groupe Vollmer. « L'internationalisation avance chez nous à grands pas et notre site Internet multilingue témoigne ainsi de cette importance. »

Les langues allemand, anglais, français, italien et portugais étaient jusqu'à présent disponibles.
